Selection-to-function aptamer evidence atlas

PanApta re-processes raw SELEX reads into round-level count, frequency and enrichment tables for selection-pool candidates across diverse protein, DNA and RNA targets — and keeps those candidates distinct from curated binding measurements and structural evidence. Enrichment alone is not evidence of target binding.

PanApta v2 is being assembled as the evidence-graded release. Its catalog separates reported and experimentally validated aptamers from selection-pool candidates and predicted annotations, with record-level provenance.

What sets PanApta apart

  • Round-level enrichment trajectories. Every indexed pool candidate carries its full per-round count + frequency vector — not just a final-round abundance.
  • Re-processed from raw reads. Unified bioinformatics pipeline applied across 3947 targets and 21+ public BioProjects.
  • Curated measurement overlay. 2,681 binding measurements from the public sources retained in this release. Measurement records are evidence objects; they do not turn unrelated enriched pool candidates into validated aptamers.
  • Visible evidence boundaries. Candidate enrichment, reported measurements and computational annotations remain distinct so users can judge what each record supports.
