Selection data: sources and availability
| Cohort | Scale and counting unit | Access |
|---|---|---|
| Queryable aptamer-selection subset | 208,754 candidates; 25 source-target groups; 125 rounds; 996,316 sequence–round observations. | Target and retained-sequence queries. Twenty groups reach the 10,000-record cap. |
| Processed aptamer-selection archive | 19 project groups; 390 archive objects; 3,113,731,979 read records, including known cross-deposit aliases. | Source inventory is documented here; complete archive count exports are not published. |
| Public RNA selection case | 13 reported constructs; 27 archive objects; 351 observations; two apparent-affinity values. | Interactive case, per-construct API and numerical downloads. |
| Auxiliary recognition catalogue | 30,439,227 candidates across all purposes; 29,820,473 assigned TF–DNA recognition. | A separate source-purpose layer, not the aptamer-selection total. |
| Public source-file count exports | 125 files; 436,660,114 reads from five primarily TF–DNA collections. | File-scoped queries and Parquet downloads. |
Projects, target groups, archive objects and molecules are different counting units. The cohorts overlap and must not be added.
Explicitly linked molecular evidence
Coverage is recomputed from explicit identifiers in the frozen literature cohort. Source-catalogue links connect 810 assays, 671 constructs and 227 campaigns; those catalogue records do not contain high-throughput round counts.
Source checks and corrections
Automated row checks and AI-assisted primary-source inspection have distinct denominators. The primary studies were selected for complete local evidence; their conflicts do not estimate a whole-database error rate.
| Check | Result | Action |
|---|---|---|
| Numeric and foreign-key checks | 1,707 / 1,707 rows pass implemented checks. | Source interpretation is evaluated separately. |
| Imported-literal replay | 42 / 42 selected source observations agree numerically. | 20 AptamerBase and 22 UTexas observations; this checks imported source literals. |
| Primary article correspondence | Two articles; seven endpoints; nine source observations. | One squared-concentration constant excluded from concentration Kd; four pH contexts flagged. |
| Assayed-construct flags | 806 exported flags disagreed with actual assay foreign keys. | Flags recomputed from explicit assay identifiers; numeric source values preserved. |

RNA selection history and reported molecular evidence
PRJEB70964 links archived counts to reported constructs and two source-reported apparent affinities.
Aptamer-Based Molecular Recognition of Lysergamine, Metergoline and Small Ergot Alkaloids
3 primary endpoints; 3 imported observations. This checks reported assay context, not a sequencing-round chain.
Screening and Improvement of an Anti-VEGF DNA Aptamer
4 primary endpoints; 6 imported observations. This checks reported assay context, not a sequencing-round chain.

- The 677-entry shared name registry contains 665 supported or qualified source associations; 12 entries still lack positive target-specific support. It is not a 677-target aptamer-selection release.
- Missing chemistry has source-field reasons; an empty field is not evidence of an unmodified construct or whole-article nonreporting.
